Performance week
Just as everyone tends to be at this time of year, we have been busy the last few weeks. Just this week, we kept ourselves busy with performances. Tuesday, Kirsti and Leslie had their Christmas music concerts for school. Here they are after their programs.

Kirsti was one of three soloists in her grade for her program, and I must say she did marvelously.
Leslie also auditioned for a "solo" part, and was so excited to be chosen. She is quick to tell everyone that the music teacher said "that I sing better than her!" The second graders, however, sang a "group solo." Leslie was part of a 10 person "solo". She also did a great job!
Tonight (Friday), the girls both performed in a Christmas piano recital. Leslie performed three pieces. (Yes, that is me in one of the pictures. I got to play a duet with her for the recital. It is fun to be able to play together!) One of Leslie's pieces was a three page piece that she played by memory. That is her music that you see her sitting on. Way to go Leslie!
Kirsti played two pieces (longer and more difficult-hence only 2) for the recital. She had memorized her Christmas piece, and played it without her music. She did a great job also.
We are relieved that our week is over, and hope that next week we can concentrate on getting ready for Christmas!

Wow! I am very impressed. The girls look beautiful (and so does their mom, of course).
I absolutely cannot believe how big the girls have gotten. It has been toooooo long!
We thought of you tonight when we watched the Sweetwater Rescue special!
Wyoming looked coooold and bleak!
That sounds like an accurate description of Wyoming, Alyson! At least we have a warm house....
