HONK!

Kirsti and Leslie have had an exciting, although a bit tiring, 2 weeks. They had the fabulous opportunity to be in a Jr. Broadway Musical called Honk. It is an award winning musical based on "The Ugly Duckling." What great fun they have had! They started rehearsals on May 31st, while finishing up the last week of school. They spent MANY, MANY hours at the College rehearsing to prepare for the big show. We were amazed at the quality of the performance and the girls had a fabulous time. I think we will be hearing them sing their songs for a long time. Here is a picture of them with the cast at the end of their performance. Leslie is the frog in the bottom right of the group, and Kirsti is in the black in the bottom left. Kirsti was the "Camera Bird", a farmyard animal, a frog, and in the blizzard chorus. Leslie was also a farmyard animal, a frog, and in the blizzard chorus. Here is a picture of Kirsti and Leslie with their babysitter Karissa. Karissa had the distinction of being Ida, the lead female role. Here is a picture of them with their friend Janae.
Here they enjoy themselves after their final performance. It was a bittersweet night. We look forward to a little more down time now, but they will miss their time on stage.
