"The Far Side"
Since it was almost time for school to start, we made the annual trip to the eye doctor's in August to get updated prescriptions and new glasses for the kids. This didn't used to be an annual event, but has become such out of necessity. I decided I would get Laura's eyes checked just to make sure we were good before school started. Needless to say, the doc was a little perplexed. It took him a few minutes of different tests to pronounce her far-sighted. In a family full of near-sighted people. I guess it is a bit unusual, but stranger things happen.
Laura was ecstatic, and ran out to quickly choose her new frames. She could hardly contain her joy when she found them. She knew right away they were "the ones". Unfortunately, she wanted nothing to do with even trying on anything different. So, they became the chosen ones. She is happy to announce to everyone that, "I am on the far side" when they comment on her glasses. Anyhow, here she is.
She is SOO happy with her new glasses, I have to remove them from her face in bed. There is definitely wisdom in letting kids pick their own frames! You go Laura!

Those glasses are SO cute! And you're right -- that is unusual for her to be on the "far side" when you're all nearsighted.
You look awesome in your glasses Laura! You picked the best frames, they look great on you. Lavendar is definitley the color for you, and the little sparkley hearts make them even better. I am glad they help you to see so well. Always be yourself!!! There is no one quite like you!!!
