School Time!

Summer flew by way too fast and it was soon time for big changes! After the Labor Day weekend, it was time to start up the new school year. Kirsti is starting school this year at the Middle School. All the 5th and 6th graders from the city attend one school together. They enjoy lockers, multiple teachers, and even start some extra-curricular school activities. The biggest jolt I got was the time. Her bus comes at 7:20. Aaaahhh! Anyhow, here is a picture of Kirsti off to school on the first day. If she was nervous, she didn't show it!
Leslie is a big third grader this year! Leslie was excited for school to start, and to get back with all her friends again. She was also excited to take on the protector/big sister role for Laura! This is a picture of Leslie and Laura on Leslie's first day of school. Laura is starting the big K this year. It is sad to send her out the door and think that she is now "gone." Unfortunately, kindergarten is full day here, so I will not see her near as much as I would like. They have a week-long phase in to kindergarten, so she didn't start school the same day as Leslie. I did really enjoy a few more days with Laura around! Here is a picture of her when she "finally" got to go to school for her first day!All three girls came home from school HAPPY and excited to be back. They all loved their teachers, so hopefully we will have a great school year!!!

As for Seth, he just wanders around the house calling for his sisters. If I turn my back, he has either turned on the TV, or is into the fridge. Humm. I think he is going to take a little distracting now that his playmates are gone!

That must be a huge change for Seth -- and for you -- to just have one boy in the house during the day! Great pics.
